Kelie had always fancied herself as a Shop Girl, from way back... imagining the
ribbons she would use to tie up her packages, to the beautiful treasures inside
each box. Passing the corner of 1st Avenue and Seneca Street each morning on her
way to work as an interior designer at a large local design firm ( and spending
her days in the dreaded grey cubicle, no less) the dream persisted... until one
day, the For Lease sign went up in the window of what would become Maison Luxe.
A spark, a twitch, a sign...that's what it really was. With each day that
passed, it became more evident, the For Lease sign was still there. Had the sign
gotten bigger? Was it meant to be? Could it be?? And then it became reality on
Valentines Day 2006 - after 3 months of negotiations and sleepless nights (the
first of many) the space was finally hers! The work ahead was daunting and the
space seemed to relish the dust that had accumulated over the years, but with
the dust came the dream, and eventually the space came back to life. Finally,
the shop opened on April 14th, 2006 and the dream was at last a reality.
Today, Maison Luxe shines at the corner of 1st Avenue and Seneca Street,
showcasing custom furnishings, unique accessories and endless treasures - both
vintage and new. Join us and see for yourself what happens when the dream is
real, the dust has finally cleared, and the furniture is all in place...join us
on April 14th, 2007 to celebrate the first anniversary of Maison Luxe!
